Your Stay With Us
We want your stay in Devon to feel like a home away from home, and our beautiful guest house is ready to offer you a relaxing stay near the beach and the warmest welcome in town! Our rooms are set up for comfort, with tea, coffee and hot chocolate in the rooms, and electric blankets for those Devonshire winter nights.
Our breakfast services are fully flexible whether an early morning 6am or a lazier 10.30, your breakfast choice is the same with cereals, fruits, toast and jams, and/or of course a traditional full English or a variation according to taste to set you up for a day exploring the delights of North Devon. You can enjoy a tea, coffee or orange juice while looking out across the rural scene and distant hills before heading off to a fun-filled day at one of the local beaches or various attractions according to taste. You are free to come and go as you please during the day and there is no restriction on late night entry so you can enjoy the bars and restaurants on offer locally. Should you be unlucky enough to get caught in the rain, we’re always on hand to get your clothes dried, or washed and dried if your holiday turns a little muddy!
We are dog friendly, and happy to welcome your furry friend on holiday with you. We do have both stock in the fields and dogs and cats around the house, so make sure your dog is happy around others.
We offer a suite of a single and double room with a dedicated bathroom and flight of stairs, ideal for parents with a small child/children or two friends or even just a spare room to store your luggage while with us. We also have a completely separate double room with its own dedicated bathroom on the other side of the house. Our quirky cottage was once two houses so we have two flights of stairs meaning the suite and double room are both as private as can be with only my husband and myself having access to both landings.
We are easy to get to by car, but if you prefer alternative travel to Devon, we can arrange to pick you up from either the local bus station, or Barnstaple train station. We’re eager to meet new guests and happy to make your journey to Brightlycott Cottage guest house as easy as can be.
If you need to travel to a local destination or beach, have a chat with us and we’ll take you where you need to go to see the unmissable sights of North Devon.
